Our house is currently under renovations. It’s taking longer than expected and we had to move in with our in-laws. I drive the kids to school and come back to the house to work from my home office. We’ve taken all the fresh food and some non-perishable items out of the house. So, when lunchtime hits the fridge and cupboards are pretty much empty.
A couple of times I just got a takeout, but I realized if I keep on doing that it’s going to get expensive really fast. Instead of getting fast food, I did some grocery shopping. Enough to make a lunch? Maybe some snacks?
What ended up being is a basket of random things that don’t make sense. If I was single, I think my nutrition and eating habits would plummet if this was my shopping for one experience.
I was hungry when I did this shopping run. Got salad in a bag because, well you know, it’s healthy. Some tea to sip on during colder days. Milk, and cereal because it was on sale. Bananas, because they’re also healthy. And can of soup because it’s a quick and easy lunch.
